gtasks Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
gtasks is a small command-line tool that Oz Guvenc of Gwench LLC (“Gwench”) wrote for himself. It lets him read and update his own Google Tasks lists from his own computer. It is not offered to the public, and Oz is its only user. This policy covers gtasks only. For the Gwench website and apps, see the Gwench Privacy Policy.
What it accesses
gtasks asks Google for one permission: Google Tasks (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks). With it, gtasks can see, add, edit, complete, reorder and delete task lists and tasks in the signed-in Google account. It does not ask for email, contacts, files, calendar or any other Google data.
How it uses it
gtasks only does what Oz tells it to do on his own tasks, such as listing a task list or adding, completing or moving a task. Task text may be shown to assistant software that Oz runs on his own computer to help him manage his tasks. Data is not used for advertising.
Where data is stored
The Google login token is saved only in a local file on Oz’s computer. gtasks has no server, and Gwench does not collect, upload or keep a copy of any Google data. Tasks stay in Google Tasks.
Sharing
gtasks does not sell, share or transfer Google data to anyone. Google user data is used in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the local token file also ends access from that computer.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date.
